As a personal trainer, I am dedicated to helping people across a broad spectrum of health and fitness levels, through carefully planned exercise programmes, to greatly improve their physical condition, and benefit from the many positive health and social consequences that often result.
I have always been a participant in recreational sport, and a naturally scientific and inquisitive mind (although my brother is the really clever one) led me to earning my degree in Sport Science. Through chance meetings and some hard graft, I have since found myself teaching scuba on The Great Barrier Reef, and running various companies for other people, amongst many other things.
Repeated knee injuries finally put an end to a 30-year stint as a decidedly average rugby player in 2014, and resulted in surgery in June 2015. By this time I had built up a good level of cardiovascular fitness and, with a great (but very simple) nutrition plan, managed to lose over 15kg (almost 2½ stone) in 12 months!
At the same time I was re-evaluating what I wanted to do with my future, and decided it was time to combine all that management experience with my background in sport and exercise to help make a difference, and support and empower people like you reach your health and fitness goals.
I know how difficult it can be to break habits and make the things we know are good for us part of the routine. Luckily for you, I also have a range of exercise and nutrition plans and strategies that can facilitate the transition to a healthier lifestyle.

John.Fit is unique in the world of personal training in that 5% of your training fee is paid to charity.
A percentage of all company profits at the end of the year are added to the charity fund too.
All the facts and figures regarding the charity donations are available online. You will not be signed up at any stage for any ongoing donation, or communication from any organisation. For more information about our charitable giving, please see our Charity page.
Well, I have asked the same question several times and, as far as can be ascertained, this indeed is the only site in existence that has been set up specifically to donate a percentage of the profits to charity. Sure, there are plenty of companies that have decided to create a corporate responsibilty profile and help out community projects, and there are probably a number of charities that sell products online to bolster their funds. But these examples just go to show how unique John.Fit really is!

Yes, it really is.
Honestly, it’s not just another standard corporate line.
It really is important to know what you think.
Okay, I may not always like it, but even the seemingly negative stuff is all good, as it helps us improve. This is your place to train, and whilst we hope you will choose John.Fit over other trainers because of quality and charitable giving, we do realise it is a competitive market and that you have a choice. So please let me know what’s great, what’s not so brilliant, and anything you would like to do differently.
